Grief Coaching
Today someone will lose a loved one, a friend, a pet, or a job, someone, or something that has touched our heart in a way that we feel we may never recover from. This pain, grief and suffering from this shock of this end-of-life experience, can impact every part of our being. We can feel like we are lost, lonely, and mourning, for some you could be dealing with the passing of someone that we thought might get better you may have been sat watching your loved ones go through pain for years, with both wanting, hoping to find a cure, but it didn’t come. In your mind, you may feel that you have failed to save someone close to your heart.
Grief is one of life’s biggest challenges and the way we live life at such a pace it can feel that we are not giving ourselves the time to feel that pain or to recenter our own thought processes, worse still to not even be kind to our own heart.
"IF WE DON’T HELP THE BEREAVED PROCESS GRIEF THROUGH EFFECTIVE COACHING STRATEGIES, THEY COULD EXPERIENCE WHAT I CALL “FAILED GRIEF”
Pat Sheveland
International Academy for Grief.

“Failed grief” happens to many people after the loss of a loved one because we are depriving ourselves of the chance to live our life with peace, purpose, and happiness. As we try to find our way at the start our friends, loved one’s colleagues are a great comfort but unfortunately sometimes people will start to step away from us as we seek to find some solace and get through the day to day struggles that life brings. We will then start to hide ourselves and our emotions and circle of trust can get very small. It may take years or another deep loss before we allow the pain back in and as it resurface it can impact every part of our existence.

Grief is a very individual thing each and every one of us will feel it in a completely different way from someone else, no death is the same, so why do we still feel as a society that all we need is a little amount of time and we will be fine. There is no limit to the time it can take us to heal and resurface again from our pain.

When I chose to become a grief coach it was because of the pain I had seen people going through over the years I worked as a medium, the pain I saw as people came to get an understanding of death through the eyes of a medium had a massive impact on the way that I did my work and taught classes. Today as a coach I feel that I am being given the chance to guide people back to their own hearts and life.
Couples Coaching
There are several reasons that a couple will want to use the services of a coach, but whatever the reasons whether they are Money, Children, Sex, loneliness or a shift in the dynamics or the relationship. Communication is key to rebalancing love.

"Traditionally, relationship coaching has been the last stop before divorce court, the last chance to try and save the marriage. Viewing coaching as a ‘last resort’ before ending a marriage can put tremendous pressure on you, the relationship coach. iapcollege.com Copyright ©

When a marriage becomes stuck in a routine and neither partner is willing to listen, then if you are brave enough as a couple you will seek help from a relationship coach. Divorce is still the number one reason couples will reach out for help. As a trained relationship coach, I can get called upon just to help couples learn how to communicate and connect again, thus allowing them to re-experience that love that brought them together.

As time moves forward couples can sometimes grow in different directions as our priorities change, children leave home to pursue their own individual lives, some of us will no longer feel the need to stay in a relationship. However, if the relationship as battled life and there is still respect and love there may still be enough to reconnect, start again and find purpose.

Some couples or individuals will turn to abusing, marginalized, or disrespecting each other, as a coach I do not work with couples in abusive relationships you may wish to call 800-799-7233 or visit the National Domestic Violence Hotline
